Mayor's Cup 2024

Mayor Cup

About:
The Mayor’s Cup events began with the idea of bringing together the 55+ Active Living Communities located in Monroe Township in a friendly competition. After decades of tournaments, we now have 13 eligible communities that participate throughout the year in multiple events. These communities are led by volunteers who organize their teams for each competition. Our goal is to have fun while throwing in a little friendly competition.

The Communities:
Currently, in alphabetical order, the following communities participate in our Mayor’s Cup events.
Clearbrook
Concordia
Cranbury Crossing
Encore
Falcons*
Four Seasons
Greenbriar
Ponds
Regency
Renaissance
Rossmoor
Stonebridge
Venue

*Falcons are comprised of residents in Monroe Township who are 55+ years of age but do not live in one of the listed gated communities. If you are interested in participating in the Mayor’s Cup, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (732) 723-5000

How to Get Involved:
The first step would be to find out if your community has a Sports and/or Recreation Committee. If they do, they probably participate in many of the events throughout the year. All communities are encouraged to have this kind of setup. The continued participation rate is much higher and offers a smoother transition as team captains may step down from their position.

If your community does not have this kind of setup, you can reach out to the Parks and Recreation Department at (732) 723-5000. There is a good chance that your community does still participate in the Mayor’s Cup events, and we would know who the captain is for that sport. If your community does not have a contact and you are willing to volunteer some of your time to organize a team from your community, please let us know. We do currently only allow one team entry per community to represent them at each Mayor’s Cup event so please keep that in mind.
